Frocks and Frills Vintage was was established in 2001 with a few small booths in local antique malls, then a few online boutiques that eventually blossomed into a brick and mortar shop located in Downtown Wheaton, in 2012. However, while the business is fairly new, the passion for vintage has been a lifelong journey.
"For as long as I can remember, I've been surrounded by antiques," remarks
proprietor Lindsay. "My parents dealt with antiques since the 1970s. This is something that's in our blood and we just have a knack for it. Knowing the eras isn't just knowledge, it's a feeling you
get when you touch and handle something vintage. You just know it."
Lindsay prides herself on providing the highest quality vintage by seeking out museum quality items, and by
repairing and reviving old clothing so that it may be loved again.
"We give this clothing life. They usually don't come to us in pristine condition, but we rejuvenate them so
that the past can come alive again."
Say no to fast fashion and say yes to vintage.
Shed the sweat pants and hoodies, and slip into something that makes you
feel sexy, empowered, and unique! Whether you're wearing a 1950s nightgown or a sultry disco dress, wearing vintage allows you to embody style and a sense of personality that is lacking from
today's trendy, disposable, clothing.
"Vintage has a past and it can tell a story, even if you're unaware of the
history. I believe that wearing vintage carries on that story and the positive vibes of the past keep us moving forward."
